Three Stories South is a collection of stories set in the American South. The first story features a young narrator who watches as the people in her life take on new roles, both in real life and in her imagination. The second story follows a middle-aged musician with big dreams, some involving music and some not, as he gets through his day job as a postal worker. The last story deals with two elderly men trying to make peace with their pasts and each other.

I enjoyed this short read very much.... Being from the south, I can see and imagine every detail that was written,from the smell of the fall leaves, to the taste of the sweet tea..Nothing like being raised in the south!! Look forward to more work from this new and up and coming author. If you are from the south, I think you would really enjoy it.Product details

A very quick read in three separate stories about the South. Really easy to read and being from the south, I could understand the people a big better than some I think, but not a lot of depth to them. A fun beach read that women will enjoy more than men.

These are 3 good character studies, featuring good range across ages and circumstances. The stories feature a girl encountering changing dynamics as cousins age and experimenting with "boy" comics, a postal worker/musician whose scheme comes undone by empathy, and two aging male friends who instant message about the changes to their minds, bodies, and the world around them.
Each story has very relatable, interesting moments. This is a nice, quick read.
These are the kind of stories you keep thinking about . . . and wondering . . . Definitely would like to know more about some of these characters but a lot is left up to your own imagination. That's what makes these Three Stories South interesting. Good short read!
